Joint Clwb Beicio Mynydd Dyffryn Conwy and Dreigiau Coed y Brenin Dragons ride at Coed y Brenin Saturday 24th January 2015

With ideal weather for the runners in the Buff Winter Trail Wales at Coed y Brenin a combined group of Clwb Beicio Mynydd Dyffryn Conwy and Dreigiau Coed y Brenin Dragons set off along dry trails for the second week running.
Two groups were formed with the younger members heading off around the Minor Taur while the more experienced group headed out along Badger before tackling The Cyflym Coch Trail.
In an interesting experiment one of our group proved you can get a cyclo-cross bike down Pink Heffer but not without suffering at least 3 pinch flats.
All  arrived safely back to the Visitor Centre in time for a cup of tea.

Group Ride CyB Saturday 17th Jan 2015

Although the forecast was for snow and rain there was a good turnout of Dragons for our first ride of 2015. We were joined by a couple of new riders and Alan was able to come out with us once again now that his shoulder is on the mend.

We headed out together to Dreamtime where we split into two groups with the younger members and those recovering from injury riding the Minor Taur. The larger older group rode over the river and climbed to the top of the Adam’s Family on what had by now turned out to be a lovely dry winter’s day. After descending the top 3 trails we cut across to come down False Teeth with one of the group showing us how well you could roll down after his chain broke at the start. With repairs complete it was up to Uncle Fester where the dreaded Gremlins struck again with a pinch flat for another member of the group. Race heads on then as we needed to be back at the visitor centre for the club committee meeting and a much earned warm drink and lunch.

A big thanks for all of those that came along and hope to see you all again.
